| Bason started in the PC market by assembling and distributing its own clone version in 1989. Early in the 1990s, Bason added PC components and peripheral products to its product line and became a leading supplier of hard disk controllers and SCSI host adapters. In the second half of the decade the company has evolved into one of the largest wholesalers and distributors of hard drives for personal computers. With annual sales volume now in excess of $60 million, Bason maintains the largest stock of high-end hard drives available anywhere. As an astute, large volume purchaser, the company passes considerable savings on to its customers worldwide.
As the new millennium approaches Bason will be expanding its systems assembly business as a principal strategy for fueling its future growth. In this regard the company recently has added high-end work stations, subsystems, and notebooks to its basic PC clone line, with particular emphasis on work stations and RAID subsystems. |
